New Theme
We’ll see if this one motivates me to keep this thing up.

Whiskerino, social networking perfection.
So today is Day 7 of Whiskerino ‘07. So far I’m having a blast, I don’t expect things to change. Over 300 men (and ladies?) coming together over a common love, the beard. I can’t wait come February when those of us left are boasting faces filled with hair.

You’re a sad beard.

Back to the Familiar.
And we’re back with 4u’s Hemingway. I just got too dang lazy to do anything with the last template I was using.
Whelp, back to this friggin paper. Tuesday couldn’t come soon enough.

For my friend, Randy.
My pal Randy emailed me, interested in the new Caedmon’s Call album I wrote about a week or so ago.
Below is a song off of Overdressed, penned by the great Andrew Osenga.
You’re welcome, Randy.

This rain could last forever, and I’d be a happy man.
I’ve picked up quite a bit of new music as of late - The Shins’ Wincing the Night Away, Caedmon’s Call’s Overdressed and Relient K’s Five Score and Seven Years Ago. All albums are spectacular, but the one I’ve been most excited about is Caedmon’s Call’s latest release. It includes the pendmanship of both Derek Webb and Andrew Osenga, two of my favorite songwriters of all time. It’s a great listen, the old Caedmon’s that we all used to love, only new. I recommend picking it up.
Life is good, just going to my one class, working and spending time with the wife. I’ve tracked down a copy of Photoshop, which will enable me to finish those websites that I’ve been putting off for so long. Which means debt paid off. Which means new iMac acquired.
Anyways, that’s that.

A New Look!
We’ll see how it goes. I’d like to make it… you know, a bit more “mine.” I plan on using this template to sort of sharpen my CSS skills. Yeah… we’ll see how that goes.

Honk
Nothing special about the above subject line. There was a car alarm going off in my apartment complex for about ten straight minutes. It was awful.
School is fine, a pretty light load, if you ask me. I’m only taking one class, but it’s good because I can focus on that one class and get a superb grade. Or at least I should. The class is called Romans, the professor is called Bowland.
In just a few short week, Christy and I will be heading up to Columbia, Missouri to see Wilco in concert. Dr. Dog is opening. We’ll be staying with some great friends that we don’t get to see that often, so that’s just a recipe for a great time. I cannot wait.
A friend and I were talking about our Top 5 Best Summer Songs. I raddled off a few, but I was just listening to Ms. Neko Case, and thought that her song Maybe Sparrow would make a great addition to my personal list. I hope it’s not too late for revisions. Click below and enjoy!

Another semester upon us.
So my semester started today, all 4 credit hours of it. It won’t be that rough, not at all. I’ve got one class to focus on, which means there shouldn’t be any reason that I should get a less than satisfactory grade. I’ve also got plenty of room to breathe, etc.
Listening to a lot of great music as of late. The new Rocky Votolato and Spoon albums are keeping me plenty of company (if you know what I mean). I’ve taken up the hobby of mixed CD’s again, and my first attempt didn’t turn out too bad.
Being married is spectacular; I can’t remember a time in my life that I was happier. I have a constant encourager and support in Christy, and there’s nothing quite like it. I still haven’t gotten any less excite to introduce her as “my wife.”
I’ll leave you with a song, and I hope this thing works. It’s a song by my good friend, Nick Flora. It’s called Right Beside Me, and it’ll break your heart.
